All About ME

YO

My name is Dora, I'm honestly, just your average 18 year old.. I do what 18 year olds do, well mostly.. I am currently attending university in hopes to be a...hmm...ya.. not to sure yet! I am passionate about fitness, being healthy and cooking! But in that order!! I am an outgoing, humorous, and friendly lil mama. You'll find out in my blog, I can be super ridiculous or sometimes really serious! Depending on the topic or my mood. So, indulge in my blog with me, as I share stories and the eats of my oh-so-AWESOME life.
I've been a vegetarian for 3 months of my life, it has been the best decision I have ever made, seriously! Before my veggie days, I was a fast-food FIEND. Only because I never really had any information or even motivation to learn about the different kind of vegetables and other health options.
I've always been pretty active, in elementary I was involved in basketball, soccer and volleyball. Throughout high school, I focused on playing basketball until I graduated. Then when I graduated, I realized I probably would never play again! It was just a hobby, I guess.. Now I stay fairly active, I like to go to the gym 4-5 times a week and usually go for runs! I am not an avid runner, or a fitness freak, just like to stay in shape and live a balanced life!

My first love
Just recently... I have fallen in love, in such awe and such amazement of someone so worthy!
He never fails, loves unconditionally, trust-worthy, comforting, passionate, .. I really could go on.
His name is Jesus!
I know I said just recently, but since I was born I've always gone to church, but when your 2 years old you really have no understanding of what is means to be a christian. When your 2, your just exciting for sunday school :)
Over the few years, mostly highschool, I've experienced so many life-changing things and I wasn't close to God at all. I won't go in to detail on my blog, because not everyone needs to know but for all the things I went through, I realized I needed to shape up, grow up and start really living my life the right way. Along my spiritual journey, I've learned so many awesome things, that have really opened my eyes! Not only have I changed as a person, but the people who I hang out with have changed as well. God taught me that in order to gain a whole lot, you need to lose a whole lot, which I have and did. As christians, we are often tested and tried but only because God knows we can handle it and there is a breakthrough right around the corner. As we experience these things, we begin to become closer with God and seek him more, which I definately have.

"Happy moments, praise God. Difficult moments, seek God. Painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God."
